The peregrine falcon is another example of a conservation success story. After the use of pesticides in the 20th Century brought this beautiful falcon (along with other birds) to the brink of extinction, conservation efforts have brought the peregrine falcon back to strong populations throughout North America.

Peregrine falcons are known for their incredible aerial hunting skills.
