There’s always a direction you can look that lets you see forever, and even when you can’t spot them, you always have the feeling you’re being watched by antelope.

One of the beauties of being in genuine wilderness is the knowledge of how far you’ve come, how far you have to go to get back, and how much empty space there is around you. That’s just one of the reasons why you should always have a map.
